Mary Shelley's Frankenstein
For our Rush Bicentennial theme,
we will be reading Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein published in 1818, the same year our town was founded.
“In a series of letters, a ship’s captain recounts the story of Victor Frankenstein, who feverishly created a monster out of old body parts. This tale of murder, love, betrayal, and revenge has made it a timeless classic, inspiring many novels, speculations, and Hollywood movies.”
